Second Pregnancy : Birth Story

Assalammualaikum lovelies,

How's Ramadan treating you so far ? I hope everyone is doing just fine.Alhamdulillah, baby Daris and I are doing good..or should I say great! He is almost 8 weeks now and chubby than ever! Alhamdulillah, all thanks to Allah SWT for his blessing! The labor& birth process was a quick and smooth one I would say but it could go the other way if we a tad bit late...FYI, this will be a long post with all my rambling! So lets hop straight to the story, shall we?

30 April 2016

I started my maternity leaves for a couple of days already since Tuesday. My plan was to walk around shopping mall all day everyday to kick start the labor but instead I was  busy preparing my "nest" for my soon-to-arrive baby. I washed all the baby's clothes ( I did washed it a few weeks before!), brushed both of our bathrooms, organized our kitchen, vacuuming the floor and all sort of domestic stuffs.Of course I didnt forget to count baby's kick. I noticed he didnt reached 10 kicks by 8 pm. Although I can still felt his movement after that, it was not his usual strong rolls and wiggles . Im a little concern but since we have our 38 weeks appointment with Dr Voon tomorrow, we decided to wait. (Pls dont wait if you were ever in the same situation!!)

31 April 2016

I have my regular weekly (38 weeks) checkup. Eventhough my due date is not for another 2 weeks, I did bring along my hospital bag, just in case. After I mentioned regarding the kick, Dr Voon did a quick VE and sent me up for a CTG test to check baby's heartbeat & uterus contraction.I was only 1-2cm dilated. I guess it's been that way for awhile now. The CTG came out ok. The baby's heartbeat was a bit low, but still in a normal range. Dr Voon suggested for an induction right away to eliminate any harm to the baby.. But after giving it some thoughts and discussed it further with her, we decided to wait and come back if the kicks count is less than 10 again tomorrow.

Did I mentioned, we dont have any birth plan whatsoever? Yes, I opt for a drug free and stress free labour process..but we dont want to pressure ourselves if things didnt go as what we planned :-)

1 May 2016

We went for a jog in the morning around 830 am. Aidan was so excited to jog around the park. Im glad that he did enjoy the jog as he was super clingy and moody for the past couple of weeks. Im sure he knew whats coming :-)

After the jog we went to the pasar pagi for a quick round. I was exhausted but I forced myself to walk!! That is how desperate I am for the labour to start!  Hahah.. (mama dh xlarat bawak perut)...I even bought a mini pineapple and planned to eat it all, which I didnt!

We got back home around 11ish... All of us were extremely tired and we slept! Probably around 1pm I woke up and started to feel a bit of discomfort around my tummy area. I asked Mr Hubs to cut the pineapple for me..you know, to get things started :-) It was not regular..So it doesnt bother me that much.

At 5pm..The discomfort kept on coming and last about 1 minute each round. I thought it was another braxton hicks episodes but those surges doesnt stop. Eventhough it's not painful,I dont want to take a risk knowing our first birth was quite a quick one.

Our worse nightmare  came true when we checked our WAZE. There had been an accident which involved 8 cars on the first Penang bridge! Ohmy! I panicked and even thinking to take the ferry! Our hospital was in Georgetown while we live in Mainland. Mr Hubs said we just need to 'redah' the first bridge once and for all. We started our journey to the hospital around 6 ish pm (after sending off Aidan to his nanny).

My last belly shot a few minutes before we went to the hospital :-)

Contractions was timed while I was in the car.

We arrived at the hospital around 7 ish pm..Alhamdulillah the accident was cleared up! They sent me straight to the labour room on a wheel chair! It was quite weird to have someone pushing you on a chair while you can still walk..but it's ok..no harm done. After changing to the hospital gown, they did a VE and strap me to the CTG machine again. I was around 4-5cm dilated by then. Mr Hubs went to surau for his maghrib prayer.

Around 8.20 pm, Dr Voon came and give me a few options and I opt for her to break my waterbag right away.It was a quick procedure, and POP! There goes my water EVERYWHERE!

And here comes the fun part! The surges become rapidly stronger after the waterbag burst.. And there she was ...one old nurse that keep on bugging me with all kind of questionnaire to complete her form.I was in agony, and she didnt even care -____-  After she completed the form, she had the nerve to ask me whether I needed gas or not???!! And guess what? I said YES!! Haha!! At that point if she ask whether I need epidural or not, or even c-sec I might say yes as well!! Oh my! And happy gas it is! Im not sure whether it helped or not..but it did helped me to keep my hand busy just to hold the gas mask! Mr Hubs was rubbing my back and at the same time reciting surah Yassin beside me. And of course his reading was interrupted everytime the surges started..haha..sorry :-)

Alhamdulillah at 9:13pm, I safely delivered my baby with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck! A cord around the neck is one of many things mothers-to-be fear about childbirth. The thought of my baby being 'strangled' by the umbilical cord was unbelievably scarry. Thats explained the slow movement for the past couple of days...Thanks again to Dr Voon for her fast action. After unwrapping the cord, she put my baby on my tummy and did the suction right away. He was blue for quite sometimes but after they put him on my chest his color slowly turned pink..Alhamdulillah! I couldnt imagine what could happened if I opt to wait again!!

His first photo :-)
Alhamdulillah for the second bundle of joy!

First photo with tok wan and mama :-)

First photo with tok ki n abg long!

Daris Isa Bin Ahmad Fadhli
May you grow up to be the greatest explorer, young man :-) Mama, baba n abg Aidan love you so very much!

Lots of love,
Juitanis

Second Pregnancy : Second and third trimester

Assalammualaikum lovelies,

Both of my chubby bubs are down in their la-la land..so here comes my next post.

Second Trimester

Every pregnancy is different they said, and for me that couldnt be more true. After an extremely nerve wracking moment in the first trimester, second trimester is a little bit calm aside from my never ending morning sickness.bleurghh! The sickness is on going up until 18 weeks, but then it never really goes away completely..I still had the urge to throw up once in awhile, thou.

My belly started to really show around 24-25 weeks. But i still managed to hide it quite well. Just like my first pregnancy, people didnt start to notice my pregnant belly until my third trimester. I dont know i would consider it lucky or not? I still felt the heaviness inside, i still felt tired, i still need to wear maternity trousers but sadly nobody given me any extra treatment as a pregnant lady.. not that i need one, but  they could at least dont rush me when i use the stairs, dont push me in the elevator, or even dont give me the stares when i use mom-to-be parking spot!! enough rant!

Talking about food craving.....My first pregnancy, i am obsessed with cendol, this time i have this weird craving over "ulam"!! i need to have either "daun selum" or " daun ulam raja" with my rice everyday!!! People who knows me well will laugh their hearts out if they know abt this! I am the person who hates all those ulam-ulam,ok. Dont get me wrong, i do love vegetables, but i just cant do "ulam"!! But who knows pregnancy can change you :) No wonder i could get away with GDM (Gestational Diabetes Mellitus) this time around. Healthy much? haha

Third Trimester

During my third trimester, my weight kept creeping up more than usual. I did my blood glucose test the second time in this trimester and the result was clear. I gained more than 2 kgs monthly.. I dont think i ate that much either.I'm freaking out a little bit, so i started my workout routine every evening. It did help me maintaining my weight gain and i think i felt a little more energize after every session. I link those videos down below if any of you interested:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yZFFGs8dLg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSDfK9_r1tA

I took 3D/4D ultrasound around 28W at Klinik Dr Nurul Alam Damai,Cheras.70RM/session. Its quite cheap compares to other klinik, but i'm not a fan,sadly... The session took only 10-15 minutes, and they were quite rush during the ultrasound! All in all they still managed to capture a few "ok" photos/video..

And here is a couple of photos by the end of my pregnancy. I did force myself to walk more by this trimester in hope for faster and easy birth. I think it does help a lot!

Ill be sharing my birth story next....Till next post!

Salam Ramadhan!!!!

Lots of love,
Juitanis

Second Pregnancy: First Trimester Update

Assalammualaikum lovelies,

Salam Ramadhan :)

Alhamdulillah, some of you might have heard that i've just delivered my second baby boo last month... I'm sorry for the lack of pregnancy updates as i'm quite busy with my work and i dont feel like writing any updates. But i did some mental notes to jot down my pregnancy updates so that i might not regret it later in life..haha :)

So here i am, trying to write with one crying baby and tantrum toddler ..sabarrrr! I should have write this earlier -___-

How did we found out?

[TMI alert]

My period was never regular since forever up until i delivered my firstborn. I got back my period after seven months postpartum. Alhamdulillah after the second cycle, i noticed that my period  cycle slowly become regular by month. The cycle length are quite longer from the normal 28-30 days cycle length. But as long as they regular, i'm a happy mama!

Early September 2015, i was feeling a bit off for the whole week. My period was a few days late. But i didnt think much of it as it happened during my last cycle as well. Aidan was sick on and off for almost two weeks by then.On 11/9/15 morning, Aidan's temperature went quite high, so we decided to bring him to the Bagan Specialist Hospital, Penang, and unfortunately he was admited due to Influenza virus. [stay with me guys, still long way to go]

On 12/9/15 morning at the hospital,  I have the urge to take my home UPT test. I brought it in my bag, just in case. To my surprise, i got two strong lines!! You know what thats means, right? I told  Mr .Hubs about it, but i just cant remember his reaction at that particular time..hmmm..not that it's important, right (*roll eyes*)!! On 13/9/15 morning i took home UPT again just to make sure, and we got the same result again ..yeay! Before Aidan's discharged paper ready from the hospital, i decided to give Dr Jason (O&G) a visit (downstairs). After we did the ultrasound thingy, he said i was just around 4 weeks pregnant as he could only saw a small black dot. Alhamdulillah. And thats how we found out :)

Sorry if this picture offend you..but i feel like posting it for my memory :)

Baby No.2 first ultrasound

First Trimester

The most crutial trimester phase ever! I did my pregnancy check up at Klinik Kesihatan Seberang Jaya (KK) and private clinics as well. Dont ask me why i went to both. I did that with my first pregnancy and i will do that until my last, i hope. I am that paranoid, girls! Back to the story, i went to KK around my 8 weeks.i thought everything is going to be ok, like it usually did...but unfortunately during the ultrasound, the MO said that she can only saw the sack but no baby! And the sack was only approximately 4 weeks in size.  I thought around 8 weeks, we can even see the baby's heartbeat (i was freaking out im my head)..She said to come back in two weeks time to see if there is a baby or not.Thats it! No further question asked. The MO and I were both in silence after the ultrasound...

It was the hardest two weeks of my life! I swear! I could not sleep properly the whole week just thingking about the 'what if'. By the end of the second week, we just cant wait any longer! We went to Klinik Dr Nurul,Alam Damai to get our next ultrasound. The Dr took less than a minute to find the baby's heartbeat. Allah SWT is the best planner. ALHAMDULILLAH!  We were both extremely excited more than when we first found out about the second pregnancy :-)

But at the same time, we dont want to get way toooo excited that early. I havent feeling any morning sickness yet. Just a little bit tired than usual. I should be happy but I read that it is not a good sign, right? (I blame it on Google!)

But by around 11-12 weeks, I started to get frequent bowel movement and windy stomach. And it all started from there up until 18 weeks, I guess! (Amik ko,nak sgt morning sickness)

There was not really much difference physically in the first trimester. I'll continue my second n third trimester in my next post. Stay tuned!

Aidan Nuh: My Bittersweet BFJourney!

Hey lovelies,

Salam Jumaat and Happy Friyay!!!

Aidan Nuh is almost ONE year young!!! 3 more weeks to go!!

So here is Aidan's almost first year breastfeeding report! I don't really want to write about this.. but i think, for memory sake..i need..or i should jot it down somewhere, right?

And now the hardest part begin! My breastfeeding journey! I know that not every mommy had it that simple! And i am one of them -_-  Aidan was and still latches effortlessly but due to his small mouth at that time, i suffered a whole lot!! I screamed and bite my lips so hard  every time he wanted to latch. There was countless nights that i couldn't sleep as he wanted to latch all night long! I cried so much inside! My parents kept saying it was because i didn't produce enough milk whatnot whatnot..but i choose to bear with it as long as i could.

Things didn't get any better when he was diagnosed with jaundice on his 6th days. His reading was so high and the doctor asked to admit him for the UV light therapy, Since it was a breastfeeding friendly hospital, i can room in with him. He was not happy the whole time we were there. I started to use my breast pump for the first time at the hospital so that he can bottle-feed while receiving the treatment. Oh boy, i was sooo stress tahap dah nk meroyan gitu! Stress because of his reading kept going up and it double up when i could not pumped enough milk for him! And obviously lead me to do something stupid that i could not forgive myself , like forever!! I DILUTED my breast milk with a little bit of MINERAL WATER! Ya Allah!! Please forgive me!! I was wrong! I just could not bare to see him crying! I did it ONCE and just a few drop of water but i seriously could not forgive myself for that :( Alhamdulillah, Aidan was OK! But still.. it was something that i regret doing :( [Psst, I didn't tell anyone about this either]

Things just getting harder as his jaundice continued for 2 months of his life. Doctor had ruled out all the harmful cause as they diagnose it as  BREASTFEEDING JAUNDICE..I thought i can breath for a second but out of nowhere i was diagnosed to have Hand Foot Mouth Disease during Aidan's first month! I cant direct feed Aidan as usual as i'm afraid he will get it as well. So,my breastpump and i became best of friend for a week-ish :( I tried my best to pump every 2 hours so that Aidan's could get enough but unfortunately the infamous block duct come and get me! Oh my...what a harsh start for my breastfeeding journey! I still didn't reach to the point where Aidan's puke blood all over me and we rushed to emergency department! And it turned out he was fine but my (.)(.) were NOT :( haih!!

Things turn out a little bit better after my confinement period. Even though i'm not an oversupply mommy, I'm not a low supply either. I'm happy enough with my 'cukup-makan' supply. I started working after my 2nd months and my pumping routine was and still 3 times daily. Once in the car on the way to work [8-830], once after lunch [1245-1315], and once in the car on my way back from work [1730-1800]. I did skipped lunch pumping session once in awhile, but i will try to make up for it by pumping longer for my next session. So far this routine works for me! Try to find your own routine which fits you most!

I had set my goal but i'm not quite sure if i ever going to make it. Alhamdulillah! I've almost reach the first half of my goal! In Sya Allah, i'll work harder for the second half!! Thank you so much to my ultimate supporter, Mr Hubby who help me to push it through! Thank you for waking up early every morning just to wash and sterilize all the bottles.Thank you for putting up with all my craving [mind you, my craving during breastfeeding are much more worst than pregnancy period..hahah]. Thank you for everything..even though your nagging hurt my eardrum so much..i still love you! :)

To all mommies out there, I am 100% sure that we are trying our best for our kids no matter how judgmental everyone surround us would be! Keep strong!! You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have!

Lots of Love,

Juitanis

First Pregnancy: My First Ever Birth Story [Aidan Nuh]

Hello loveliess,

As I'm writing this post, i have change my status from heavily preggy woman to  happy new mama ..hiks! Apart from the sleep deprivation and always-hear-a-baby-crying-syndrome (even thou baby Aidan Nuh is sound asleep!), I am a proud and overly excited mama :))

I know its  a long overdue story, but i'm still going to share my first ever birth story!! I'm hoping my little bubba will read this when he grow up :))

So here we go...

Monday (26/05/14) :
I am at my 38 weeks and today is my first day of maternity leaves. I had a slight fever since last Saturday and not feeling 100% myself . I need to go to my appointment with the specialist at Hospital Seberang Jaya,Pulau Pinang at 8am for follow up scan because the last scan showed my little one's abdomen circumference was quite small (four weeks behind). Alhamdulillah everything went well. But the doctor still admitted me due to the fever and low fetal movement.

Argg... i hate sleeping in the hospital..it makes the sick me even sicker! I need to wait for the empty bed from 8 AM till 2 freaking PM!! But then, during the wait, I started feeling slight cramp at my lower abdomen area and needed to go to the loo a few times... They insisted to check for the opening (VE) and the naive me said yes :( and of course i opt for a lady doctor! They didn't tell me anything after the VE and i assumed no opening yet...

Tuesday (27/05/14) :
The doctor will discharge me after my baby completed his 10 movements. But i still need to wait for Mr. Hubs until 6 PM. Around 2 PM i felt the cramping on my lower abdomen area slowly subsided but it suddenly changed to another kind of mild cramping behind my back. It became regular after a few hours and i started to time the surges. They were once every 10 minutes. I didn't take it seriously as i didn't felt bother by them.

After i got home, the surges kept on going stronger...I went to have a hot shower, performed my prayer and went straight to bed and make myself comfortable...unfortunately i cant...i dozed off a few times but the surges become more and more uncomfortable. I wouldn't said that it was painful, but definitely uncomfortable for me. I kept saying to Mr Hubs what if this is it? what if my little bubba decided to come early? what if? what if? But he just totally ignored me and slept like a baby!! Probably i didn't look like im in misery or anything.. hmphh!! I was up all night alternating between sitting on my gym ball, applying breathing technique, listening to rainbow breathing, reading and listening to surah Maryam and sujood!

Wednesday (28/05/14):
The surges didn't get any more intense but definitely regular (still once in ten minutes).Mr Hubs still insisted that it was just a braxton hicks or false alarm AGAIN (well, there is another different story)! But I decided to go to Pearl Maternity Hospital right away...After preparing all the mummy+baby stuffs plus gym ball, we drove to the hospital and reached there around 8 AM.  As i didn't have any blood show or membrane ruptured, the nurse there did not convince that i am in labor or anything and even suggested to come back later. Luckily we didn't, as to their surprise the CTG results shows that there are quite a few intense surges every ten minutes. The younger doctor did the VE and guess what? i'm already 6 cm dilated!!Both of us was totally shocked, Mr. Hubs especially! We cant believe that today is THE day!

930 AM: After we checked-in to the room, the doc asked to break my membrane..but we refused....at first. The younger doctor came in to the room a few times for that reason, and even said that she want to break it to make sure baby didn't poo poo yet, reduce the risk of infection and bla bla bla... I even called my Dr. Sister and my Dr. Sister-in law to ask for their opinions. Doctors being doctors, they have the same opinion, which is to break it :( After almost one hour contemplating, we gave in! As a new parent,we don't want to take the risk and being selfish. A healthy baby is the most important thing after all!

1030 AM: I was wheeled to the labor room after they break my membrane. The surges still once in ten minutes. I can still talk, laugh, eat and drink through it. I am not strap to any machine or IV drips, so i am free to move around. i am probably 7-8cm dillated so far.

I don't know whether it is the mind set thingy or what, after 15 minute laying down on the labor room bed, the surges become more and more intense. It definitely felt like someone breaking your back bone over and over again. Mr Hubs massaged and stroked my back.It doesn't reduce any pain at all but I definitely felt a whole lot more comfortable knowing your love one is there :)

1130 AM: The younger doctor did VE again and i'm fully dillated...i can push anytime if i feel the urge to push ...But I didn't have any urge to push at all.. or probably i dont know the feeling. For me it was just intense surges that come and go every couple of minutes.. But after a few surges, i am super tired and just want to get it over with already.I tried to push during the next surges eventhou there was still no urge to push. I really do hate the pushing part..it was not only exhausting but it really depends on my mind set to really do it or give up! A strong support system was needed during this crucial time..Thank you Mr Hubs for being there for me! After a couple of pushes, an older doctor came in. We already knew that she is a nagging type doctor, but i cant believe that she nagged even more when i'm about to push!! grrr!! But thanks to her nagging, as i couldn't bare her nag even longer ...I successfully pushed my healthy 2.75kg/50cm baby boy at 1211 PM..hahah! p/s: she still nagged to Mr. Hubs as he didnt know whether to go to the baby or stay by my side..lols!!

There you go ..my drug free and not so gentle birth story :))

Fresh from the oven:
Aidan Nuh Bin Ahmad Fadhli

Baby Nuh is 69 days today!! He is growing so fast.. and i dont know why  i felt a bit sad when he couldn't fit in his newborn clothes anymore.. hahah!!crazy, i know!  Since a few weeks back, Aidan Nuh already know how to smile and laugh.. and of course... he couldn't stop!! He is one cheeky little milk monster!! Mama and Baba love you so much!! May you always be in Allah's loving hand :))

cheeky little Aidan Nuh :)

Lots of love,

First Pregnancy: Third Trimester Update (Up to 37 weeks)

Hi lovelies,

Oh my, i'm at my 37 weeks mark and still haven't finish preparing all the baby stuff yet!! where did all this time goes? Last thing i knew i was writing the list of baby stuff and vomiting all the way through...and then i realized that i'm almost there! InsyaAllah!!

As far as im concern, we will never be 100% ready...but i think that we have tried everything that we could to prepare for the big day..and all there left is just hoping for the best!

My third trimester started off with my 3D/4D growth scan at my 28.5 weeks. I booked an appointment for a 3D/4D scan through  this website. It was done at Klinik Mediviron, Gelugor Penang, by Miss Jezzlyn, a sonographer who came all the way from Kuala Lumpur. It cost me RM120 for the whole session plus one CD. Miss Jezzlyn was very gentle and informative as well. I'm very pleased with the session!!  Ill recommend this service to all preggy moma out there who is between 27 weeks to 30 weeks in their pregnancy. It is just to make sure your baby didn't look as skinny/boney as they will already gain a bit of fat around that time :))

Here is a little snapshot from the 3D/4D scan of my little peanut :))

My little peanut at 28.5 weeks!!

Weight gain has been out of my control ever since i'm in my third trimester! Sometimes ill be gaining 2 kg in 2 weeks..but sometimes i gained nothing in the next two weeks and lose it all again in one week. It had been quite a struggle for me to climb up my scale everyday and wondering if i ever will lose all this weight after my pregnancy..lols..drama, much! But all in all, i've gained almost 13 kg from my pre-pregnancy weight...I'm hoping not to gain anymore weight.. so,im  really trying to eat super healthy and drink more water to re-hydrate my body!

36 weeks pregnant!!

Eating has been my hardest challenge so far.. i am constantly craving for sweet and sugary stuff..I'm super trying to eat more healthy and try to cut sugar intake as well. I managed to control my craving ..but at times, i was force to gave in..haha :(  As far as supplement goes, i didn't really take prenatal supplement daily. Ill only took it whenever i feel like my diet that day was not as healthy as it should be. Well, real food is the most healthy one, right?! i also did try to take one glass of goat milk smoothies (with fruits+yogurt) every morning..i have yet started to take one capsule of Catalyst Virgin Coconut Oil daily as well. Aside from that, i add up my supplement with Dr. Hagiwara's BarleyGreen Premium weeklyI find that by taking organic Barleygreen once a week, i am not having so much problem with bowel movement any longer. Barleygreen provides a whole lot of vitamins for you and your baby as well :) Last but not least is my most favorite of all, Earth Mama Angel  Baby Organics Third Trimester Tea. For a tea drinker like me, i would say this tea has a mild peppermint taste to it and it help me a lot to relax at night time. You can drink it hot at night or make a jug of ice tea on hot days. Not sure how its going to work as far as labor goes but they said that this tea can help to prepare your uterus for labor...so, we just have to wait and see :)

Supplements through out third trimester

Gentle Birthing Class was a great experience for me and Mr Hubs. We decided to attend the whole day class on 1 May 2014 (Labour day) to prepare ourselves for the arrival of our little peanut! We thought there will be a few more couples registered for this class, but as we arrived at the venue, we were the only couple registered for that day! Yeay, private lesson for us!! We found out about the class from Gentle birthing Malaysia  (this) website. This whole day course cost around RM220 per couple. Mrs Jaye Chan is a certified childbirth educator in Penang area. Eventhough it was just one day course, i can say that it help us a lot to understand the whole process. It did help me to be more calm and in charge of my body through out the pregnancy so far. Thanks Mr Hubs to be such a caring and supportive husband! i cant believe that you are so active throughout the course.. Mr Hubs really did try his best asking a lot of questions! i am really proud of you :)) All in all, I really do recommend Mrs Jaye's classes if you guys live around Penang area!

Praise and thanks to Allah SWT  for giving me such a great blessing... The waiting game starts now and all i can do is just pray that everything will be okay and my little peanut is still growing and healthy inside...InsyaAllah!! Come out when you are ready little one! My little peanut,

May Allah swt be with you every step that you take,

May Allah guide you with each decision you make,

May Allah help you when life gets rough,

May Allah lift you when you’ve had enough,

May Allah protect you when you fall,

May Allah hear you when you call,

May all your duas be accepted,

May you always be in Allah swt’s loving hands.

Lots of love,

First Pregnancy: First Trimester and Second Trimester Updates

Hi.. I'm Juitanis, and im a lazy blogger... (*Audience* Hi, Juitanis!) sob..sob..

Its been awhile!! I've been MIA from this blogging world for no reason at all...its just that i have been kinda lazy to write..and that's it.. :)

Life has been treating me well lately..I'm so thankful and grateful  to Allah SWT for everything that He blessed me with - for the past so many beautiful years! (omg, tak sangka that ill be in my three-zero in two years time..gaya2 makcik dahh niiii!) No matter what..life must go on kann..and i cant wait for our exciting and adventurous future with our little peanut (LP) !! And oh..oh.oh.. yessss we are expecting and no, its not twin! (in case if anybody is wondering)

Actually I didn't know that i was pregnant up until our delayed honeymoon trip last October 2013 (our wedding was on 16/08/13) I kinda -- have a feeling that i was prego before that trip.. but it has been proved negative in my UPT test - during my pre-employment medical check up (end of September 2013). The scariest part was --  i did go through the chest x-tray stuff without knowing that i'm already carrying my LP!! After a lot of research regarding the x-tray effect on the fetal... i decided not to stress out about it for too long...InsyaAllah everything will turn out the way it should.

I'm 31 ish weeks pregnant today....and i feel......HUGE and unattractive (macam la sebelum ni attractive benau!!haha!) i just couldn't see myself in the mirror! But i kept telling myself that my LP is growing happily in my belly! what else matter, right?! i have already gained a whooping 10kgs, okiess!!

and i still have more or less 8 ish weeks to go..I hope my weight gain will not exceed the recommended amount!! May Allah SWT be with us at every step and i pray that i can remain strong till the very end.. Ameen!

First Trimester

But of course I will be lying if i say that i love everything about being prego! The first trimester (up to 15 weeks) of the pregnancy had taken its toll on my body.. i felt very tired the whole time.. All i want to do is just to sleep and do nothing...Aside from that, i also did regret for not learning how to burp!! Siape tak reti burp, cecepat belajar burp please!!. I felt all gassy and bloated for the entire day as well...and it got WORST in the evening!! i would end up vomiting gas+water. (TMI, i know!)

There are certain foods that will make it worst  such as oranges, orange juice, cabbage, banana and probably - most of the fruits..hahah! Craving wise, Ive been craving watermelon and nasi lemak bungkus for the first few weeks, thou!

Second Trimester

I could say that this trimester is a bit more comfortable experience for me compared to the first trimester.. i still felt gassy and bloated now and then but i gained a whole lot of energy this trimester..Alhamdulillah i have no other pregnancy symptoms that could effect my everyday life ;) But i do acquired one habit throughout my pregnancy. I have become VERY lazy..like extremely lazy..like super duper lazyyyy!!! Thank you sooooo soooo much to Mr. Hubs for doing all those things that he is not supposed to do ;)) He is now officially called himself all kind of 'tukang' already!! Ilysm hubby bear.. Haha!

I felt my LP's first kick at 16 weeks! But my baby bump is still not showing that much at that rate..but it kept growing rapidly thou!! At 25 weeks, people cant really notice my baby bump if i wear oversize shirt or dress..but still.. LP is measuring one week early woiii and keep growing like nobody business!    LP definitely will not be a tini tiny baby! Erkk!

My food craving for this second trimester is cendol !!! ive been trying cendol at different places every week..and the best one yet is from gerai near Masjid Seberang Jaya!! My cendol craving is not over yet..Ill be hunting down cendol again this weekend!! ( sebab mkn cendol kah my LP jadi begitu sihat? hahaha)..

Ill be sharing more on the third trimester experience in my next next posts, perhaps :)

My baby bump at 30 weeks ...
