My PM Skincare Routine - Cleanser!

Hi lovelies,

Thank you all for dropping by :) Happy New Year 2018!!! I know that im not doing much activity here for the past year. But i might have more motivation to write this year..haha! Trust me! I will try to write something, even if its just a few sentences..hahah :)

I'll start this new year post with my PM skincare routine .Ok , here we go!

Skin Type: Normal to dry skin. Most days normal skin, but will have dry flaky cheek on not so normal days.haha!
Sensitivity: Not that sensitive. Can take any acid ingredient product with appropriate % without any aggressive reaction. Do keep in mind that i've been using acid in my skincare for more than 5 years, probably that might have been the reason for that.

I have made up my mind to be minimalist on everything this year, and that includes my skincare as well. You will later figure out that my skincare will be mix and match mostly from drugstore and a few gear towards middle to high end brand.

Step 1) Cleanser
a) Wet wipes
Watson Soothing Baby Wipes with aloe vera extract
If i'm wearing makeup, ill make sure to remove it first with facial wet wipes. Any wet wipes will do. So happen that i have 2 kids, and baby wipes is everywhere. I just use the Watson brand baby wipes to remove my makeup.

b) Facial Wash
Harrogate Sulphur Soap - Victorian Rose
I've been using this with my MIA Clarisonic Facial brush daily for the past 6 months and i find it effective enough to get rid of all leftover makeup and mild enough to not strip all the moisture off your face. This soap also keep my once in a while acne at bay. My first intention for buying this soap is specifically to get rid of Aidan's eczema, which it does the job perfectly! But after i use it on myself, im hook!! Thanks to my lil sissy Fatin, who helped me to buy this!! But i'm sure you can already get your hand on this soap in Malaysia.

c) Facial Scrub
Apricot Fresh Skin St.Ives
Many people will have love-hate relationship with this product :) I will certainly not be using this daily. But i need some physical exfoliator weekly to make my  mind at ease, knowing that this will get rid of all the gunk on my face :p This scrub does the job and did not make my skin extra dry. Mild enough to use it twice a week!

I think thats all for now! My lunch time is almost over! Will update more on next post! Stay tuned!!

First Pregnancy: Third Trimester Update (Up to 37 weeks)

Hi lovelies,

Oh my, i'm at my 37 weeks mark and still haven't finish preparing all the baby stuff yet!! where did all this time goes? Last thing i knew i was writing the list of baby stuff and vomiting all the way through...and then i realized that i'm almost there! InsyaAllah!!

As far as im concern, we will never be 100% ready...but i think that we have tried everything that we could to prepare for the big day..and all there left is just hoping for the best!

My third trimester started off with my 3D/4D growth scan at my 28.5 weeks. I booked an appointment for a 3D/4D scan through  this website. It was done at Klinik Mediviron, Gelugor Penang, by Miss Jezzlyn, a sonographer who came all the way from Kuala Lumpur. It cost me RM120 for the whole session plus one CD. Miss Jezzlyn was very gentle and informative as well. I'm very pleased with the session!!  Ill recommend this service to all preggy moma out there who is between 27 weeks to 30 weeks in their pregnancy. It is just to make sure your baby didn't look as skinny/boney as they will already gain a bit of fat around that time :))

Here is a little snapshot from the 3D/4D scan of my little peanut :))

My little peanut at 28.5 weeks!!

Weight gain has been out of my control ever since i'm in my third trimester! Sometimes ill be gaining 2 kg in 2 weeks..but sometimes i gained nothing in the next two weeks and lose it all again in one week. It had been quite a struggle for me to climb up my scale everyday and wondering if i ever will lose all this weight after my pregnancy..lols..drama, much! But all in all, i've gained almost 13 kg from my pre-pregnancy weight...I'm hoping not to gain anymore weight.. so,im  really trying to eat super healthy and drink more water to re-hydrate my body!

36 weeks pregnant!!

Eating has been my hardest challenge so far.. i am constantly craving for sweet and sugary stuff..I'm super trying to eat more healthy and try to cut sugar intake as well. I managed to control my craving ..but at times, i was force to gave in..haha :(  As far as supplement goes, i didn't really take prenatal supplement daily. Ill only took it whenever i feel like my diet that day was not as healthy as it should be. Well, real food is the most healthy one, right?! i also did try to take one glass of goat milk smoothies (with fruits+yogurt) every morning..i have yet started to take one capsule of Catalyst Virgin Coconut Oil daily as well. Aside from that, i add up my supplement with Dr. Hagiwara's BarleyGreen Premium weeklyI find that by taking organic Barleygreen once a week, i am not having so much problem with bowel movement any longer. Barleygreen provides a whole lot of vitamins for you and your baby as well :) Last but not least is my most favorite of all, Earth Mama Angel  Baby Organics Third Trimester Tea. For a tea drinker like me, i would say this tea has a mild peppermint taste to it and it help me a lot to relax at night time. You can drink it hot at night or make a jug of ice tea on hot days. Not sure how its going to work as far as labor goes but they said that this tea can help to prepare your uterus for labor...so, we just have to wait and see :)

Supplements through out third trimester

Gentle Birthing Class was a great experience for me and Mr Hubs. We decided to attend the whole day class on 1 May 2014 (Labour day) to prepare ourselves for the arrival of our little peanut! We thought there will be a few more couples registered for this class, but as we arrived at the venue, we were the only couple registered for that day! Yeay, private lesson for us!! We found out about the class from Gentle birthing Malaysia  (this) website. This whole day course cost around RM220 per couple. Mrs Jaye Chan is a certified childbirth educator in Penang area. Eventhough it was just one day course, i can say that it help us a lot to understand the whole process. It did help me to be more calm and in charge of my body through out the pregnancy so far. Thanks Mr Hubs to be such a caring and supportive husband! i cant believe that you are so active throughout the course.. Mr Hubs really did try his best asking a lot of questions! i am really proud of you :)) All in all, I really do recommend Mrs Jaye's classes if you guys live around Penang area!

Praise and thanks to Allah SWT  for giving me such a great blessing... The waiting game starts now and all i can do is just pray that everything will be okay and my little peanut is still growing and healthy inside...InsyaAllah!! Come out when you are ready little one! My little peanut,

May Allah swt be with you every step that you take,

May Allah guide you with each decision you make,

May Allah help you when life gets rough,

May Allah lift you when you’ve had enough,

May Allah protect you when you fall,

May Allah hear you when you call,

May all your duas be accepted,

May you always be in Allah swt’s loving hands.

Lots of love,

Review: Fullhouse Cafe & Thirty Two at the Mansion, Georgetown,Penang

Hey loveliess,

Happy birthday to me.. Happy birthday to me.. Happy birthday.. Happy birthday.. Happy birthday to me!!! (*clap*clap*)

Last Saturday was my 28th birthday.. How crazy is that!! Instead of feeling all depress and miserable as i thought i would...im sooooo looking forward to all those wonderful years ahead (ayat sedapkan hati) !!

As this is my first year celebrating my birthday with  Mr Hubs.. I want a little more effort from him to plan something for me laaa . Hikss! But of course i did not expect more than i should as he is definitely not a birthday-fan kinda guy :(

For lunch i decided to go to Fullhouse Cafe in Penang Time Square ( I did the goggling stuff myself, ok) It is quite a hassle to go there as its located in the middle of Penang's busy streets..We reached there around 3 pm and to our surprise only a few people was around.. (And so i thought Fullhouse is quite a famous cafe, no?)

Mr Hubs's Alfredo Spagetti was quite delicious and the portion was generous enough for him ;)  [4/5 stars] Mr Hubs approved! That green stuff was yummy as well.. Its not too sweet plus those popping boba in it makes this drink more exciting n fun to drink. I dont remember the name, thou..too bad!

My Vongole Spagetti was quite spicy.. Its not quite to my liking.. But i managed to finshed it all ;)) [3/5 stars]  My green drink is called Ice blended peppermint chocolate.. Super duper yummy for peppermint lover!!  Its not too sweet and the chocolate sauce adds so much flavor to this drink ;)) Yours truly approved!

They put so much effort in their interior.. So i couldnt help myself to strike a few pose all around the restaurant.. Hahha..

After lunch, we did some damage around 1st Avenue and Perangin Mall to kill some time before my ultimate birthday dinner .. so they said ;) Mr Hubs had booked a restaurant which he refused to tell me (Kunun2 surprise la, which is sooo not him)

Around 8.30pm we reached to the so called secret restaurant -- Thirty Two At the Mansion ( which i never heard before) I would say that i am amazed with his choice though.. Haha!!  This restaurant located in Georgetown area.. I could already tell that we will pay a fraction of the price only for their ambience ;p

So.....candle light dinner it is!!

Please excuse muka penat n senyum xbermaya itu! ;)) im super duper hungry already! haha!

We ordered full course dinner set which include --> Appetizer : watermelon salad, french bread with butter, salmon chowder soup. Main Dish: grilled salmon with baked potatoes (mine) , BBQ chicken with coconut rice (Mr Hubs) and for desserts they served chocolate almond cake with coconut ice cream (mine), cranberry white chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream (Mr Hubs). We couldnt even breath properly by the time our dessert were served.. But of course..we always have plenty of space in our belly for desserts :)

Review: Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

Hello lovelies,

Its been awhile and now I'm back with a beauty review. Well before i continue writting about this product, i have a confession to make. I am a skincare hoarder and i am proud of it..jk..but seriously!! I tend to buy any latest skincare related products on the market eventhough i dont really need it :(  Thank God i am not a millionare...so i do constrain myself! I am not a compulsive buyer.I will not buy anything without reading their reviews first. I take everything seriously when it comes to my skincare routine!

Back to the main topic. I bought this Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel about one week ago and ive been using it ever since! We all know the benefits of aloe vera for our skin...i dont need to elaborate more on this matter. I think Nature Republic really step up their game this time around. The soothing gel is not only a moisturizer, but it can also be use as anything you can ever imagine. *exagerate much?* That is why i thought this extremely versatile product deserve a blog post :)

It came in a 300 ml huge green tube with plastic cover on the inside to avoid messiness (great idea!).

The consinstency of the product itself is gel like but more on a watery side. It is easily absorb  in your skin and it doesnt leave any sticky feeling like your usual moisturizer does.  Price : RM 32.90

I stumbled upon this product a few years ago but it didnt stand out to me as much. But last week, after more than one hour googling about this product,  i decided to purchase this gel for my puffy eyes. And WOW! After only a few nights i can already saw the result..the puffiness under my eyes are reduce to a certain extend. All i did was dip the surface of your cotton pad in the gel tub and put in on your eyes overnight. I really am happy with the result :))

But wait..that's not all...as i said ealier, this product is a versatile product... picture below tell us how to use this ah-mah-zing product

The only thing i dont like about this product is the unhygenic tub. I wish they reproduce this product in a tube so that i will not have to dip my finger in that tub again! yucks..

But hey, I would rate this product 4.5/5
Would i purchase it again? Hell ya!!! :)

Lots of love,

Juitanis
