Randomness: Happy 8th years, Schatzie!!

Picture taken on Nov 2011 @ Frankfurt, Germany

Today eight years ago, 9 April 2007 ...

We were on our very first Euro trip with a big group of ALG 8 clan.. I can still remember clearly..We were in the middle of Prague city walking around with all the others exploring the city... I was so nervous waiting for you to find the right time and words to ask me out for a fine dinner together.

We had our dinner date at one fine restaurant with a minimal conversation. You seems loss of words the whole time we were there...after the dinner date I wanted to join the others but you asked me to stop by KFC to have another conversation. You gave me a black crystal bracelet (I lost it already) and asked if you could be the one for me. I didn't gave any answer that night. Hahah! Sorry for that!

But since that day, we grew a lot together..you have always be there for me...supporting me with all my crazy goals and dreams (Master's, Engineer and now PruBSN Takaful Agent.. haha)...

Thank you for being such a darling husband, a crazy best friend and amazing daddy to Aidan Nuh :) I love you even on the days I don't like you very much - but today is a special day..let's celebrate the best of both of us. Let's grow even older together! Insya Allah!

Happy 8th years, Schatzie! Muah muah!

Aidan Nuh: 7 - 9 Months Postpartum Update

Hey lovelies,

Baby Aidan Nuh is 9.5 months young!!

I know its cliche, but i just couldn't believe how fast time flies!! like seriously you guys!! how come he grow up that fast? i still remember clearly how small he was on his first day and now...look at him!! he is  crawling and cruising everywhere! MashaALLAH.. I am truly grateful to you,Ya ALLAH!!

Believe it or not, it is actually the most busiest 9 months of my life, hands down! How on earth my parents took care of us six siblings??? I love you Mak and Abah!! Now that i am a parent, i slowly understand that parenting is about being the best mom or dad we can be to our kids. There is no straightforward manual for raising kids.. so Mr Hubs and I are trying our best!! So, no judgement here please!

9 Months
  • His weight didn't change and still a healthy 10.3 kg baby.
  • I can proudly say that he is still 100% breastfed baby.
  • He had his 5th teeth. (upper)
  • He can stand on his own for a few second.
  • He will call me "mama" when he needs me.
  • He can babble a few words such as "baba" , "nene", "tete", etc
  • Banana and mandarin orange are his favorite fruits.
  • He hates barley puree. or anything puree! He just want what we adult eat! *sigh* Please dont grow up tooooo fast!!
  • He still haven't sleep through the night, thou. (now you know where i got those panda eyes)
  • Overall, he is an active baby :)

8 Months
  • A whooping 10.3 kg baby.
  • He had his 3rd and 4th teeth with high grade fever before those teeth came out.
  • He started to recognize people faces. So he will cry if unfamiliar faces pick him up.
  • He was afraid of the ocean. (ombak jahat!)
  • He was easily entertained. (#mudahterhibur)
  • He loves his teething biscuits. We can now have our quite dinner outside :)
  • By this month, he totally hates it if we put him in his playpen or we called it "penjara baby".
  • Well, if  jumping on the same spot could be consider as dancing. He totally likes to dance.

7 Months
  • I think he is around 9.8 kg. I forgot to weight him, thou :)
  • He had his 1st and 2nd teeth without any fever.
  • He loves his puree! By this months, i have introduced him with white peach, apple, pear, plum, carrot, pumpkin, mango, sweet potato, sweet peas, spinach, brown rice, barley and oats.
  • Since he started to crawl at 6 months young, by this month..he is an avid crawler! crawling everywhere like he just don't care!! Sometimes i just let him be as long as  he didn't crawl into the bathroom or into the kitchen!
  • Since Baba Aidan loves to blow on Aidan's tummy, he kept on blowing mama's tummu whenever he got the chance! Cheeky boy!!
I cant wait for his other first time skills..
Insya Allah i will do another update when he turns 1! Please bear with me ok?! :)

Lots of Love,

Aidan Nuh: 0 - 6 Months Postpartum Update

Hey lovelies,

I have been meaning to write this, but i keep putting it off for several reasons..

Today i manage to squeeze an update for Aidan's first 6 months of his life! I'm not gonna lie that - at first, i didn't expect my life would totally change after i had him. But in all my honesty..everything...i mean EVERYTHING change!! My priorities changes, my bedtime routine changes, my skincare routine changes and even my diet changes!!  Alhamdulillah everything change for the better, InsyaAllah!! And thank you Mr Hubs for always be there for me even when i'm turning into Godzilla at times ..hiks!!

So without further ranting, here we go :

6 Months

  • A whooping healthy 9.3 kg baby.
  • Officially reach 6 months goal of 100% breastfeeding. 1.5 years to go, InsyaAllah!
  • He started to crawl and sit on his own!! i'm a proud mama!
  • He started his first solid with avocado puree and he loves it!
  • He was very quiet around unfamiliar faces. I got myself a shy baby i would say :)

5 Months
  • He was 8.6 kg and 66 cm.
  • And because he was a champ roller, this month was his first time fell out of bed :(
  • His first word is baba!! *Sigh!!*
  • He can sit with support by this month.
  • He started to push himself with both hands to move from one point to another. But he still doesn't know how to make use of his leg, thou.

4 Months

  • He was 7.65 kg and 63 cm.
  • His first roll on his tummy! Mama was and still proud of you!!
  • Aidan met new friends as we changed a new babysitter because the first one turned out to be an OCD freak!!

3 Months

  • He was 6.8 kg on his third months checkup, 62 cm long.
  • His newborn milia was completely gone by this month.
  • He started to roll on his side but not completely on his tummy.
  • He hated tummy time, but which baby doesn't, right? hiks!
  • Mama needed to go to work this month, so his first time left with his baby sitter.
  • He started to love the bouncer and we ended up buying another one to leave it at babysitter house.

2 Months

  • He was 5.2 kg on his second months checkup. 60.5 cm long.
  • Still jaundice but it slowly went away by the end of the month.
  • He hated his bouncer. Period.
  • He still smile, giggle and laugh in his sleep but slowly started to smile when he was awake.
  • Still a big eater! Can't stop latching when he was awake!

1 Months

  • He was 3.75 kg on his one month checkup, and 57 cm long.
  • We have tried sun bath, Chinese herb bath and chives leaves bath but he was still jaundice.
  • He will only smile, giggle and laugh in his sleep.
  • His awake time usually because he was hungry. And he latched-on up to two hours at times!

0 Months
  • He was born at Pearl Maternity Hospital, Penang at 12:11 pm
  • Fresh from the oven at 2.75 kg and 50 cm long.
  • He was born with newborn milia all over his face. But the doctor said its normal. We just wipe his face with warm water everyday.
  • Jaundice started on day 4-5 and admitted on day 6 for 2 days. The doctor diagnosed it as breast milk jaundice, so we got nothing to worry about.

That's all from Mama Aidan. Ill update more in my next post!
Pinky promise! :)

Lots of Love,

First Pregnancy: My First Ever Birth Story [Aidan Nuh]

Hello loveliess,

As I'm writing this post, i have change my status from heavily preggy woman to  happy new mama ..hiks! Apart from the sleep deprivation and always-hear-a-baby-crying-syndrome (even thou baby Aidan Nuh is sound asleep!), I am a proud and overly excited mama :))

I know its  a long overdue story, but i'm still going to share my first ever birth story!! I'm hoping my little bubba will read this when he grow up :))

So here we go...

Monday (26/05/14) :
I am at my 38 weeks and today is my first day of maternity leaves. I had a slight fever since last Saturday and not feeling 100% myself . I need to go to my appointment with the specialist at Hospital Seberang Jaya,Pulau Pinang at 8am for follow up scan because the last scan showed my little one's abdomen circumference was quite small (four weeks behind). Alhamdulillah everything went well. But the doctor still admitted me due to the fever and low fetal movement.

Argg... i hate sleeping in the hospital..it makes the sick me even sicker! I need to wait for the empty bed from 8 AM till 2 freaking PM!! But then, during the wait, I started feeling slight cramp at my lower abdomen area and needed to go to the loo a few times... They insisted to check for the opening (VE) and the naive me said yes :( and of course i opt for a lady doctor! They didn't tell me anything after the VE and i assumed no opening yet...

Tuesday (27/05/14) :
The doctor will discharge me after my baby completed his 10 movements. But i still need to wait for Mr. Hubs until 6 PM. Around 2 PM i felt the cramping on my lower abdomen area slowly subsided but it suddenly changed to another kind of mild cramping behind my back. It became regular after a few hours and i started to time the surges. They were once every 10 minutes. I didn't take it seriously as i didn't felt bother by them.

After i got home, the surges kept on going stronger...I went to have a hot shower, performed my prayer and went straight to bed and make myself comfortable...unfortunately i cant...i dozed off a few times but the surges become more and more uncomfortable. I wouldn't said that it was painful, but definitely uncomfortable for me. I kept saying to Mr Hubs what if this is it? what if my little bubba decided to come early? what if? what if? But he just totally ignored me and slept like a baby!! Probably i didn't look like im in misery or anything.. hmphh!! I was up all night alternating between sitting on my gym ball, applying breathing technique, listening to rainbow breathing, reading and listening to surah Maryam and sujood!

Wednesday (28/05/14):
The surges didn't get any more intense but definitely regular (still once in ten minutes).Mr Hubs still insisted that it was just a braxton hicks or false alarm AGAIN (well, there is another different story)! But I decided to go to Pearl Maternity Hospital right away...After preparing all the mummy+baby stuffs plus gym ball, we drove to the hospital and reached there around 8 AM.  As i didn't have any blood show or membrane ruptured, the nurse there did not convince that i am in labor or anything and even suggested to come back later. Luckily we didn't, as to their surprise the CTG results shows that there are quite a few intense surges every ten minutes. The younger doctor did the VE and guess what? i'm already 6 cm dilated!!Both of us was totally shocked, Mr. Hubs especially! We cant believe that today is THE day!

930 AM: After we checked-in to the room, the doc asked to break my membrane..but we refused....at first. The younger doctor came in to the room a few times for that reason, and even said that she want to break it to make sure baby didn't poo poo yet, reduce the risk of infection and bla bla bla... I even called my Dr. Sister and my Dr. Sister-in law to ask for their opinions. Doctors being doctors, they have the same opinion, which is to break it :( After almost one hour contemplating, we gave in! As a new parent,we don't want to take the risk and being selfish. A healthy baby is the most important thing after all!

1030 AM: I was wheeled to the labor room after they break my membrane. The surges still once in ten minutes. I can still talk, laugh, eat and drink through it. I am not strap to any machine or IV drips, so i am free to move around. i am probably 7-8cm dillated so far.

I don't know whether it is the mind set thingy or what, after 15 minute laying down on the labor room bed, the surges become more and more intense. It definitely felt like someone breaking your back bone over and over again. Mr Hubs massaged and stroked my back.It doesn't reduce any pain at all but I definitely felt a whole lot more comfortable knowing your love one is there :)

1130 AM: The younger doctor did VE again and i'm fully dillated...i can push anytime if i feel the urge to push ...But I didn't have any urge to push at all.. or probably i dont know the feeling. For me it was just intense surges that come and go every couple of minutes.. But after a few surges, i am super tired and just want to get it over with already.I tried to push during the next surges eventhou there was still no urge to push. I really do hate the pushing part..it was not only exhausting but it really depends on my mind set to really do it or give up! A strong support system was needed during this crucial time..Thank you Mr Hubs for being there for me! After a couple of pushes, an older doctor came in. We already knew that she is a nagging type doctor, but i cant believe that she nagged even more when i'm about to push!! grrr!! But thanks to her nagging, as i couldn't bare her nag even longer ...I successfully pushed my healthy 2.75kg/50cm baby boy at 1211 PM..hahah! p/s: she still nagged to Mr. Hubs as he didnt know whether to go to the baby or stay by my side..lols!!

There you go ..my drug free and not so gentle birth story :))

Fresh from the oven:
Aidan Nuh Bin Ahmad Fadhli

Baby Nuh is 69 days today!! He is growing so fast.. and i dont know why  i felt a bit sad when he couldn't fit in his newborn clothes anymore.. hahah!!crazy, i know!  Since a few weeks back, Aidan Nuh already know how to smile and laugh.. and of course... he couldn't stop!! He is one cheeky little milk monster!! Mama and Baba love you so much!! May you always be in Allah's loving hand :))

cheeky little Aidan Nuh :)

First Pregnancy: Third Trimester Update (Up to 37 weeks)

Hi lovelies,

Oh my, i'm at my 37 weeks mark and still haven't finish preparing all the baby stuff yet!! where did all this time goes? Last thing i knew i was writing the list of baby stuff and vomiting all the way through...and then i realized that i'm almost there! InsyaAllah!!

As far as im concern, we will never be 100% ready...but i think that we have tried everything that we could to prepare for the big day..and all there left is just hoping for the best!

My third trimester started off with my 3D/4D growth scan at my 28.5 weeks. I booked an appointment for a 3D/4D scan through  this website. It was done at Klinik Mediviron, Gelugor Penang, by Miss Jezzlyn, a sonographer who came all the way from Kuala Lumpur. It cost me RM120 for the whole session plus one CD. Miss Jezzlyn was very gentle and informative as well. I'm very pleased with the session!!  Ill recommend this service to all preggy moma out there who is between 27 weeks to 30 weeks in their pregnancy. It is just to make sure your baby didn't look as skinny/boney as they will already gain a bit of fat around that time :))

Here is a little snapshot from the 3D/4D scan of my little peanut :))

My little peanut at 28.5 weeks!!

Weight gain has been out of my control ever since i'm in my third trimester! Sometimes ill be gaining 2 kg in 2 weeks..but sometimes i gained nothing in the next two weeks and lose it all again in one week. It had been quite a struggle for me to climb up my scale everyday and wondering if i ever will lose all this weight after my pregnancy..lols..drama, much! But all in all, i've gained almost 13 kg from my pre-pregnancy weight...I'm hoping not to gain anymore weight.. so,im  really trying to eat super healthy and drink more water to re-hydrate my body!

36 weeks pregnant!!

Eating has been my hardest challenge so far.. i am constantly craving for sweet and sugary stuff..I'm super trying to eat more healthy and try to cut sugar intake as well. I managed to control my craving ..but at times, i was force to gave in..haha :(  As far as supplement goes, i didn't really take prenatal supplement daily. Ill only took it whenever i feel like my diet that day was not as healthy as it should be. Well, real food is the most healthy one, right?! i also did try to take one glass of goat milk smoothies (with fruits+yogurt) every morning..i have yet started to take one capsule of Catalyst Virgin Coconut Oil daily as well. Aside from that, i add up my supplement with Dr. Hagiwara's BarleyGreen Premium weekly. I find that by taking organic Barleygreen once a week, i am not having so much problem with bowel movement any longer. Barleygreen provides a whole lot of vitamins for you and your baby as well :) Last but not least is my most favorite of all, Earth Mama Angel  Baby Organics Third Trimester Tea. For a tea drinker like me, i would say this tea has a mild peppermint taste to it and it help me a lot to relax at night time. You can drink it hot at night or make a jug of ice tea on hot days. Not sure how its going to work as far as labor goes but they said that this tea can help to prepare your uterus for labor...so, we just have to wait and see :)

Supplements through out third trimester

Gentle Birthing Class was a great experience for me and Mr Hubs. We decided to attend the whole day class on 1 May 2014 (Labour day) to prepare ourselves for the arrival of our little peanut! We thought there will be a few more couples registered for this class, but as we arrived at the venue, we were the only couple registered for that day! Yeay, private lesson for us!! We found out about the class from Gentle birthing Malaysia  (this) website. This whole day course cost around RM220 per couple. Mrs Jaye Chan is a certified childbirth educator in Penang area. Eventhough it was just one day course, i can say that it help us a lot to understand the whole process. It did help me to be more calm and in charge of my body through out the pregnancy so far. Thanks Mr Hubs to be such a caring and supportive husband! i cant believe that you are so active throughout the course.. Mr Hubs really did try his best asking a lot of questions! i am really proud of you :)) All in all, I really do recommend Mrs Jaye's classes if you guys live around Penang area!

Praise and thanks to Allah SWT  for giving me such a great blessing... The waiting game starts now and all i can do is just pray that everything will be okay and my little peanut is still growing and healthy inside...InsyaAllah!! Come out when you are ready little one! My little peanut,

May Allah swt be with you every step that you take,

May Allah guide you with each decision you make,

May Allah help you when life gets rough,

May Allah lift you when you’ve had enough,

May Allah protect you when you fall,

May Allah hear you when you call,

May all your duas be accepted,

May you always be in Allah swt’s loving hands.

Lots of love,

Randomness: Landon Austin- Armor - Official Music Video!!

Obsession of the week! :))

Landon Austin - Armor

I’m not bullet proof when it comes to you
Don’t know what to say when you made me the enemy
After the war is won
There’s always the next one
I’m not bullet proof when it comes to you

Maybe I’ll crash into you
Maybe we would open up these wounds
We’re only alive if we bruise
So I lay down this armor
I will surrender tonight
Before we both lose this fight
Take my defenses
All my defenses
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor

I do what it takes to make this right
But we got to stop before the regret
After the war is won
There’s always the next one
I’ll do what it takes to make this right

Maybe I’ll crash into you
Maybe we would open up these wounds
We’re only alive if we bruise
So I lay down this armor
I will surrender tonight
Before we both lose this fight
Take my defenses
All my defenses
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor for you

I’ll be you escape
I’ll be your safe place
I’ll be your shelter
Your shelter yeah
I’ll be you escape
I’ll be your safe place
I’ll be your shelter
Your shelter yeah

Maybe I’ll crash into you
Maybe we would open up these wounds
We’re only alive if we bruise
So I lay down this armor
I will surrender tonight
Before we both lose this fight
Take my defenses
All my defenses
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor
I lay down this armor for you
I lay down this armor for you
